What e-mail client / software should I use?

There are hundreds of different programs you can use to check your e-mail. As long as the program you choose supports the POP3 Protocol (almost all of them do) it should work with the NetLink servers. If you plan on using the IMAP protocol instead of POP3, you must check if the program supports this.

We highly recommend the Mozilla Thunderbird mail client. This software is free and open-source, and works very well with both the POP3 and IMAP protocols. It also supports TLS and SSL . You can download Thunderbird from Mozilla.org.

Some other popular mail clients include:

  • Microsoft Outlook Express
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Pegasus
  • Eudora
