This article describes how to set up new e-mail accounts in Outlook Express.
  • Open Outlook Express and select Tools -} Accounts from the menu.
Tools - Accounts
  • Open the Mail tab and press the Add button. From the expanded menu, select E-Mail.
Internet Accounts
  • Enter the "From" name you would like displayed in the recipients inbox when sending them mail.
Internet Account Wizard
  • Enter your e-mail address. For example: info@yourdomain.ie.
Intenet E-mail Address
  • For the incoming mail server, choose either POP3 or IMAP . For more information about the differences between the two, please see the appropriate article from the knowledgebase. If you are unsure of which one to choose, you can safely go with POP3 as it's the most common protocol and is easier for reading your messages offline.
E-mail Server Names
  • Enter your username and password. These should have been sent to you by NetLink Support or e-mail provider of your choice. If you need us to reset your password, please contact our support.
Internet Mail Logon
  • The new account should now be set up. For further configuration and outgoing server authentication, please see the appropriate article.
