Broadband Penetration in Ireland
Ireland now has only 9.2 broadband connections per 100 people with a
total of 372,300 subscribers in June. Ireland ranked 23rd out of 30
countries in the 2005 survey of broadband penetration for the world's
industrialised nations.
This rank has just been overtaken by the Czech Republic, who has
switched positions with Ireland.
Despite Ireland's drop in ranking to 24th, the penetration in Ireland
is up from 6.7 people per 100 in 2005.
