NetLink IT Services have set up a wireless broadband network for the Alcock and Brown Hotel in Clifden. The hotel is now offering free broadband access to all guests. WiFi access is available in the rooms as well as the hotel lobby.

The 3MB broadband connection is being provided by BT Ireland. The Wireless network in the hotel is based on WiFi 802.11g (2.4GHz) and can be accessed by any WiFi enabled device. This includes all Intel Centrino and Core Duo notebooks. The network is secured with a 128-bit WEP encryption key which is available to guests at the hotel's reception desk.
