Vodafone Ireland announced that from today it will be offering fixed line telephone and DSL broadband services to customers in Ireland. Customers will be able to avail of the offer whether they currently own a phone line or not. A monthly €49.00 includes connection, line rental, DSL broadband, local and national calls, as well as unlimited calls to 3 pre-defined Vodafone mobile numbers.

NetLink IT Services today was informed by a Vodafone representative that customer service and support will be of the same standard as the regular service from Vodafone, which customers are used to. The contract length for the service is 12 months. Broadband will be initially offered in speeds of 2Mbps and 3Mpbs, but these speeds will automatically be upgraded to higher speeds as the service is rolled out. Maximum speeds will reach up to 6-8Mbps nationwide, according to the representative.

Information about this service, which is called "Vodafone at Home", is scheduled to be added to the Vodafone website on the 3rd of June.
